With a passion for knowledge and lifelong learning, Kori strives to provide an environment for her athletes enriched with opportunities for physical, athletic, mental and emotional growth and development.  Through her coaching career, Kori has sought out opportunities to learn and incorporate sports science, psychology and peak performance, and dry land training concepts.  Kori prides herself on coaching the "total athlete" and believes that through sport, every skater's journey can lead to a lifelong passion for achieving one's potential and for developing the necessary life skills to always 'champion one's inner athlete'!

Her coaching philosophy is based on her belief that mental and emotional aspects play a very powerful role in sculpting a successful athlete at all levels of competition.  Through Kori's educational background, experience and ability to motivate, she is able to create the complete package for the skaters at 7k.  

Through her First Ade program, Kori shows true passion for giving back to the sport of figure skating by assisting other professionals by sharing ideas, techniques and real-life experiences.  Her goal is to continue to provide educational opportunities to coaches who are driven to become more knowledgeable within their field.  

The Mental Ascension program was created by using an athlete-centered approach to cover influential factors impacting athletes throughout their journey while touching on strengths, weaknesses, emotions, motivations values and personal habits.  The program is used to create an environment where all athletes become self-aware and drive their success through the development of goals and solutions.  

The Koriography video series focuses on building the invested and passionate athlete.  It uses the union of science and art to design each athlete's unique journey towards success.  Video entries cover concepts, theories, psychology, tactical and technical guidance along with discovery relating to what motivates us, excites the human spirit and drives individuals to greatness. 

Kori has structured the 7k International Skating Academy in line with her beliefs that every athlete should have access to a team of elite professionals who all contribute their main strengths.  7k embodies her vision to develop a place where athletes can thrive in a positive, supportive and competitive environment. A facility where they can train and be viewed as individuals who are treated with respect and love yet who are taught through sport to be disciplined, self-directed and accountable.  Athletes are guided to trust themselves and have the courage to compete to win.

Mission Statement: To create and develop unique choreographic looks for each skater's performance while focusing on development, edge quality, character and the full pursuit of an executed storyline.  

Rohene has been skating and performing for 23 years allowing him to become the 2004 Puerto Rican National Champion, 7-time national competitor and US International Team Member.  For the last 14 years, he has shared his passion with his students while also continuing to dazzle audiences all over the world with his skating and choreography.  Off the ice, Rohene completed 7 years of intensive training with the Minnesota Dance Theatre.  He studied ballet, jazz and modern with this wonderful opportunity.  Rohene then met up with the Zenon Dance Company (Scholarship Program) to study contemporary, hip hop and modern with a focus on Horton's technique. 

As Rohene climbed the ranks through the years, he passed the Ice Skating Institute's Freestyle 10 test and became a USFS double gold medalist.  He toured with Holiday On Ice as a principal skater for 4 years as well as performing in a variety of other productions around the world.  Rohene continues to impress with his raw talent to choreograph while conveying passion, emotion and strength in each of the masterpieces he develops.  Rohene became the 2015 Choreographer of the Year.  His experience, knowledge and freedom of expression on the ice has led him to become a national, world and Olympic choreographer and coach.

Mission Statement: To deliver cutting-edge recreational, advanced and elite level training opportunities for skaters of all ages in a positive environment enhancing each athlete's training experience with detailed organization, innovative ideas and excellent customer service.  

Born and raised in Buffalo Grove, IL, Heather grew up skating at the Northbrook Sports Center focusing much of her attention to both the ISI and USFS tracks. In high school, she began coaching while also continuing her own skating career. Competing through college, Heather became the 2002 National Collegiate Champion as well as completing the ISI Freestyle 10 test.  After graduating with a Kinesiology degree from University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), she became a Leisure Services Supervisor directing many of the programs she once participated in herself, as well as continuing to coach.  It was at this time that Heather and Kori met and realized they could begin a new dream together of running their own 7k International Skating Academy.   With the transition to Colorado, her expertise helped to build the organization and coordinate daily sessions, special events, seminars and recreational to elite level programming.  She enjoys working in this team atmosphere while planning the elements necessary to provide a solid training platform for skaters of all ages and ability levels.

Mission Statement: Open communication, professionalism, dedication, self sufficiency, honesty, patience and understanding are all key aspects I strive for in my student's development.  For every skater, for every dream; I will provide the instruction and resources necessary to help make their aspirations a reality. 

Jessica has 18 years of experience in figure skating.  She trained with elite coaches such as: Amy D'entremont, Erick Shultz, Damon Allen, Janet Champion, Christy Krall, Jack Courtney, Chea Hutton, Becky Bradley, Ryan Jahnke, Larry Ibarra and Tiffany Dombeck.  Through her training, she gained knowledge and experience in all disciplines of skating.  She also loves assisting hockey skaters reach their potential with their skating skills.  Jessica is a national competitor in synchronized skating and has performed in ice shows such as POPS on Ice and the Nutcracker.  She is very grateful to have the privilege to coach for a living and share her passion and knowledge of the sport with our younger generation.

Mission Statement: To provide all of the tools necessary to each athlete to accomplish his/her goals while fostering the development of life skills that will carry them through the rest of their lives well beyond their skating years.

Tiffany is a former World competitor in ice dancing and a USFS Triple Gold Medalist.  After finishing her amateur career, highlights of which included five trips to US Nationals, 2 Olympic Trials and trips to the European and World Championships, Tiffany pursued a degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.  After graduating summa cum laude in 2005, she spent two years working as a Software Engineer while continuing to coach skaters of all levels.  Her passion; however, remained in skating and in 2007 she made the decision to devote herself entirely to her coaching.  Having 15 years of experience in coaching, her students have included skaters at ever level from Basic Skills to Senior Grand Prix competitors.  She has head coached numerous national and international medalists at every level from Juvenile to Junior as well as World Junior competitors.  Tiffany holds a Level V (International) Ranking from the Professional Skaters Association.  She specializes in teaching ice dancing, choreography, Moves in the Field, flexibility and off-ice conditioning as well as edge and group classes.

Mission Statement: To pass on my knowledge and passion for our sport to each new generation that passes my way and to guide every skater whom I have the pleasure to coach to become a fine athlete but even more importantly, a fine human being. 

Since 1984, Doug Ladret has been at the forefront of figure skating around the world.  Along with his partner, Christine "Tuffy" Hough, Ladret won the 1988 Canadian Pair title, competed in 5 World Championships, 2 Olympic Games and won a total of 5 International Titles.  Professionally, Hough and Ladret performed with Stars on Ice for 4.5 years and were featured in numerous touring shows, television specials as well as one feature film.  

From 1997 to 2000, Ladret was the Performance Director for Stars on Ice.  Since he began coaching in 1992, Ladret has produced National & International medalists and champions in both singles and pairs.  He has been a presenter at numerous seminars across North America and was nominated twice for US Figure Skating/Professional Skaters Association Developmental Coach of the Year.  The 2017 Nationals marked his 16th consecutive year coaching at the US Figure Skating Championships.  

Ladret is an accomplished choreographer having choreographed for numerous television specials and for such notable skaters as World Champion, Kurt Browning and Olympic Gold Medalists, Jamie Sale and David Pelletier.  He is the recipient of an Emmy Certificate for his choreographic work on the CBS Special "Scott Hamilton Upside Down".  

Doug's music background helped him develop into one of the finest music editors in the skating business.  His work has been showcased in professional ice shows, television specials, figure skating competition broadcasts and throughout the world at ISU competitions.

Mission Statement: To help each athlete reach their fullest potential and then push them to new heights that they never thought possible.

Lara Ladret is a 4-time national competitor and the 1985 Novice Pair Champion of Canada.  She is a triple gold medalist in Freestyle, Pairs and Dance. Following her amateur competitive career, she spent 4 years performing in professional ice shows in Spain and across Canada.  Lara has over 25 years of coaching experience.  She has her PSA Senior Rating in both Freestyle and Pairs and has a Level 3 NCCP coaches rating in Canada.  

Lara was Director of off-ice training at the Olympic Training Centre in Ontario, Canada where she not only training National, International &Olympic skaters off ice but coached them on ice as well. 

Lara has a background in Sports Therapy, Deep Tissue & Swedish Massage, and Cranial Sacral Therapy.  With her knowledge of skating and sports therapy, she was appointed Chief Therapist and Trainer for the Stars on Ice Tours.  Lara spent several years in this position taking care of some of the world's biggest skating stars including Olympic Champions: Scott Hamilton, Tara Lipinski and Kristi Yamaguchi.  

Since relocating to the US in 1999, Lara has been instrumental in developing National & International competitors and champions from the grassroots up.

Emily grew up in a home full of love for skating.  Her mother is a National and International coach and her younger sister was a 9-time National competitor and Team USA member.  Emily enjoyed a successful skating and part time coaching career up until 2008 when she relocated to attend St. John Preparatory School.  After attending college at Minnesota State University, Emily joined Kori and Rohene in Monument, Colorado.  Since then, she has become an integral member of the 7k International Skating Academy coaching team.

Mission Statement: To use my knowledge, ability and experience to help athletes achieve their goals while giving everything in my power to provide the necessary guidance for the success of an athlete. 

Jon has been with 365 Performance since May of 2012.  He is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Weightlifting Association Sports Performance Coach Level 1.  In 2009 he received his Bachelor of Human Kinetics from Trinty Western University (Langley, British Columbia, Canada) and received his Masters of Science in Sports Medicine in the Strength and Conditioning track from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in May 2013. 

While attending Trinity Western University, he was a strength and conditioning intern from 2007-2009 under head strength and conditioning coach, Andrew Heming.  Following Jon's internship, he became the head strength and conditioning coach in 2010 at Columbia Bible College.  During his tenure, he had the opportunity to help the men's volleyball program to a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship in the spring of 2011.  Between 2011-2012, Jon interned with the Colorado College Tigers (NCAA Division III), Colorado State Pueblo Thunderwolves (NCAA Division III) and Colorado Rampage AAA Hockey Club.  In addition, Jon has completed practicums at Air Force Academy and Colorado Orthopedic Center of Excellence.

Over his coaching career, Jon has worked in both team and individual settings with basketball, hockey, soccer, golf, swimming, lacrosse, volleyball, football, track and field, figure skating and tennis.  Jon has worked with hockey players who compete in the United States Hockey League, North America Hockey League, Western Hockey League, British Columbia Junior Hockey League, Alberta Junior Hockey League, United States Premier Hockey League, NCAA Division I and III, professional hockey and figure skating athletes from Pre-Juvenile to Senior including Olympic caliber skaters.  Jon has extensive experience working as a personal trainer and kinesiologist with both female and male clients ages 15 to 50 with Coastal Fitness (Langley/Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada).

Growing up, Jon was involved in hockey from the age of 6 as a goalie and eventually become a coach and referee.  Jon is originally from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada and has lived in Colorado Springs since August of 2011.

Mission Statement: To help figure skating athletes understand that off-ice training can help improve performance and reduce injuries while maintaining a strong body appropriate for elite level training.

Lauren has over ten years of strength and conditioning experience with developmental, college, Olympic and professional athletes.  Some of the teams she has worked with are Colorado College Ice Hockey, Volleyball and Lacrosse; High School basketball, tennis and football; and the Army WCAP track and field, boxing, judo, taekwondo and wrestling teams.  Lauren has also worked with individual athletes from the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia Phantoms and various National and World Figure Skating champions and medalists. 

From 2009-2012 Lauren was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the NSCA World Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO.  During that time, she worked with a wide variety of athletes, but eventually focused on law enforcement, military and fire and rescue personnel.  Locally, Lauren helped the Fort Carson 10th Special Forces Group, Colorado Springs Tactical Enforcement Unit, CSPD K-9 Unit, CSPD Bomb Squad and CSFD all improve their job performance.  She also worked as a part of the Education Department and traveled throughout the country to teach hands-on training courses to other coaches, including the Combat Fitness Instructor course for the U.S. Marine Corps. 

Lauren has a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Delaware.  She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  She is also USA Weightlifting Level 1 Certified and has a current CPR/AED certification.

Mission Statement: To lead each athlete, whether as student, competitor or performer, to their highest level of inspiration, imagination and creativity, and create the space which allows them to discover their personal style of artistry, success, power and achievement in each and every competition or performance.

RoseAnne knew at 8 years old that she was called to perform.  She holds a BFA in Directing and Acting Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University.  She has worked professionally in the Chicago market as a model, actress and director in theatre productions, commercials and film.  She has taught various theatre classes and workshops.  RoseAnne also holds a Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine with a B.S. in Nutrition, having graduated Summa Cum Laude consecutively in both the acupuncture and herbal medicine programs from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.  RoseAnne has come full circle back to her roots, combining her love of skating with her passion for performance.  She assists skaters in finding and creating their personal style of artistry in their skating programs.

Melissa Lagania

Cleveland, Ohio

Melissa has been coaching since 1995 and is a Gold tested/member of USFS & the Professional Skater's Association, She earned numerous synchronized skating National medals, was an international synchro competitor and top ten Adult Synchro-Skating National Competitor, National Theater-On-Ice Pewter Medalist and coach to Regional/Sectional competitors and Gold test students. Melissa helped launch the Skating Academy of Dubai in 2015 with (fiancé) Coach Chris Mattern. With over 15 years of experience as a Learn-To-Skate instructor, she has helped nurture many athletes at all stages in the sport.  Melissa has been the Director of LTS for over 10 years in her hometown, City of Parma, as well as Ice Show Director/Program & Events Coordinator, was the founder of the Parma Junior Club Performance Show Team, Assistant Coach to United Ice Synchro Team, as well as a three-time team member with the USFS Program Components Camp staff (including speaker at the 2016 Elite Synchro Camp). She loves reading and motivating her athletes, continues ongoing education and attends PSA Conferences/USFS events.  Melissa has a Bachelor’s Degree from Mercyhurst College and an Associates Degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.  She prides herself on her extensive knowledge and experience in direct sales and marketing as well as leadership/public speaking and finance management.  Melissa has trained with international authors, speakers and entrepreneurs such as: John C. Maxwell, Darren Hardy, Robert/Kim Kiyosaki, Tony Robbins, Barry Donalson, & Kevin Gantos. There is always something that can be done! She believes in giving back, building communities & individuals through strong morals & core values, has volunteered for national events, competitions, special needs programs and community outreach opportunities.  Melissa considers herself to be a Moves in the Field enthusiast!  She is currently teaching all levels and is excited about the opportunity to be amongst the staff at 7k!

Chris Mattern

Cleveland, Ohio

Chris is a 4-time National competitor, 3-time National medalist and triple Gold medalist in freestyle, pairs and MIF.  Chris began coaching in 1994.  Throughout the years, he has performed internationally for Disney on Ice, coached in Sun Valley Idaho, for the Dallas Stars and helped open the Skating Academy of Dubai. He then became a Learn to Skate Program Director near his home town.  Chris is now a 3-time National Coach and just recently led his Juvenile pair team to a National Pewter Medal.  He is extremely passionate about coaching and is looking forward to building a pairs program at the 7k International Skating Academy as well as helping with grassroots programing, pole harness assistance and mental training classes. 

Cecily Morrow

Boston, Massachusetts

Cecily is recognized as the world's foremost authority on the Lussi jump and spin technique.  Having just produced Volume IV of the highly acclaimed video series "Systematic Figure Skating: The Spin and Jump Technique of Gustave Lussi", Cecily teaches the latest, precise method for maximum distance, height and consistency in jumping and fast spinning to all levels of skaters, judges and coaches in the United States and Canada.  Known for her speed, flow and elegant style, Cecily was a founding member and principal performer of the Ice Theatre of New York and led their Plie Power classes in Lake Placid.  In addition to jump and spin instruction, her on-ice stroking, transition/flow lessons and off-ice coaching developed from years of training in ballet, jazz, modern, step-dance and Pilates include designing specific warm-up, postural and strengthening routines for skaters.  Cecily served on the Coaches Training Committee of the PSA and has written numerous technical articles demonstrating her comprehensive knowledge of the methods of her world-renowned teachers: free skating legend, Olympic coach Gustave Lussi: school figure specialist, Carlo Fassi; and Olympic ice dance technician, Natalia Dubova.  While training with Ms. Dubova in Lake Placid, Cecily wrote, narrated, directed and produced the step-by-step video series, "Stroking Exercises On Ice: The Dance Training Methods of Natalia Dubova".  Cecily's formal education includes studying at Columbia University in New York City, Oxford University in England and a BA from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Cecily enjoys imparting her knowledge to all levels of skaters, helping them reach their personal goals and looks forward to working with 7k's inspiring team of coaches.

Anna Tarassova

Monument, Colorado

Anna was born in Russia where she was a competitive skater for 12 years leading her to participate in Junior Nationals in her home country.  Anna then hit the books and received her Bachelor's degree from Smolensk University of Sports.  She now has over 25 years of international coaching experience in Russia, Mexico and the United States.  Her students have won US qualifying events as well as the Mexican National Championships. 

Anna teaches all level skaters in both USFS and ISI as well as adults.  She specializes in freestyle, MIF and off-ice conditioning.  Anna's goal is to always do her best for each of her students to allow them to reach their fullest potential in the sport.
